Kristi's 25 Random Things

I was Tagged by a friend to do this and I thought it would be fun! If you are reading this consider yourself "tagged" and do one for yourself!

1. I love it when I reconcile my bank account to the penny. I do it monthly...religiously and look forward to my next bank statement! I haven't carried a paper check register with me for 15 years because I do it all in Quicken. I have Pocket Quicken for my phone too. I know, I have problems.

2. I HATE it when hair sticks to a bar of soap. I will spend five minutes cleaning the soap off before I use it. I hate this so much I no longer use bar soap but body wash.

3. I once told my 9 year old that I used to deal cards in Las Vegas. He believed this for a whole year until I finally told him it was just a joke. He was so mad at me for two days!

4. I shave my big toes. I hate hairy toes!

5. I moved to Provo after I graduated High School specifically to find a returned missionary to marry! (found him!)

6. When I walk up or down stairs my ankles always crack. Every step, every time. I have no idea why?

7. I know way too much about how health insurance works. I have read through every page of our benefit plan summaries and can tell you exactly what is and what is not covered.

8. I can speed read.

9. I once broke the school record for the Discus by throwing it an amazing 83 feet! Okay, so it was only a Jr. High record (8th Grade) but I still broke it and have the plaque to prove it!

10. I hate snow. I especially hate driving in it. I hate playing in it. I hate being cold. Phoenix is a good place for me!

11. I have to sleep on my right side with my left leg swung over a body pillow. I have to hug the body pillow too. No body pillow, no sleep.

12. I have to be very patient when other people are working on a computer. I think I know it all and the way they operate the computer annoys me.

13. My hair is very naturally curly. I go to great lengths to straighten it!

14. I hated every minute of being pregnant 4 times. Those who say they have never felt better or more beautiful are liars.

15. I never drive anywhere if I can get away with it. My driving annoys Stuart but his driving annoys me. I never sleep as a passenger because I have to watch for potential road hazards just incase the driver isn’t paying attention. I also have my own brake on the passenger side.

16. I make my kids do the chores I don’t want to do.

17. I have always wanted to be a Hair Stylist. Maybe one day I will do it when the kids are older.

18. I would love to win the lottery but never play it.

19. I own my very own .22 Rossi Pump rifle and can shoot a glass bottle out of the air with it. I think everyone should own a gun and have the right to defend themselves with it.

20. I subscribe to PEOPLE magazine. I hide it so I can be the first to read it…and enjoy reading it when I am all alone.

21. I could care less about getting flowers or a card. I love hugs, kisses or a phone call.

22. I collect coins for fun. I have a collection of the 50 State Quarters. I have a Morgan Silver Dollar dated 1878. And several “wheat head” pennies. I also have the quarter that Coleman swallowed when he was 4 that cost us $1,200 to surgically remove!

23. I am obsessed with Weight Watchers point values of every food item. I even write the points on all the food in my cupboard whether I am following the plan or not! I can also guess the calories of a food item based on the points value. I know, I am retarded.

24. I am also totally obsessed with The Biggest Loser! I have my DVR set to record every episode. I will admit that I have sat on the couch eating a large bowl of ice cream while watching it!

25. I never paint my fingernails. I always end up scraping it off. My fingernails are never long either. I never paint my toenails any colors…just a French manicure style.

The Monster Jam 2009

Oh, we have so much fun at the Monster Truck Shows. This one was at Chase Field in Phoenix. It is so loud and smells like fuel but there is not another show like it! This will be the third monster truck show we have been to. FUN! FUN! We saw Grave Digger, Blue Thunder, TMNT...just to name a few. The one below that is wrecked in Bad Habit. The other one jumping the cars is Grave Digger.

Our Favorite Past-Time

We took the kids target shooting this week. They boys especially enjoy this so much. After looking at these pictures I can't help but think how much they have grown. They are an excellent shot with their guns. They are very safe and I am so thankful that they have a Dad who can teach them all of this boy stuff about Guns (and gun safety!) Shelbi really likes to shoot as much as the boys as well and they had better watch out because she is a great shot. Even Taylor got in on the target shooting.

Happy New Year!

We all had a really nice Christmas. Stuart and the kids got me a treadmill that actually has a TV built into it. No excuses not to work out anymore, right? It even comes equiped with a built in fan, stereo speakers and an iPod dock. The kids got a Wii from Santa and spent all day playing it! After Christmas we spent a week in Blanding where there was TONS of snow. The kids loved playing in it and haven't seen snow in over a year!
