The Locker Project

For as long as I can remember I have always thought that having real lockers in the kids' room would be a great idea to store all of their junk. We have looked for years until this last summer when my resourceful and extremely persuasive husband found these school lockers in Page, AZ while he was working there. He talked the guy to selling him 5 lockers like the one you see for $15 per locker. Almost a year later we finally spray painted them and put one in our garage for school bags, coats, balls, shoes, etc. Each one of the boys also has one in their room to organize their clothes and shoes. Oh, we gave the other one to Grandma because she liked them so much. We just won't talk about how we got them all the way upstairs because they are very HEAVY. Here are the before and after pictures.

What a cool idea! I would love to do something like that in our garage. It's funny too that your husband worked in Page. My Grandparents used to live there and so I would spend every summer there. I'm sure you guys are familiar with RD's drive-in then. =) We've been known to take a road trip specifically to go there! Crazy people we are.
